Christmas Cheer Sign-Ups
The Salvation Army will begin accepting applications for assistance through the Christmas Cheer Program beginning October 8th. Christmas Cheer provides food & toys for familes with children through 12 years old and Senior Citizens 55 and over can sign up to receive food. Rutherford County Schools will be sponsoring 6 days. Applicants must provide driver's license or valid photo ID, legal guardians must provide proof of custody, birth certificates, Social Security cards medicaid cards or government identificaion, copies of previous month's bills and proof of income.

October 8: Forrest Hunt Elementary School 3:30 - 7 pm
October 13: Forest City Dunbar Elementary 3:30 - 7 pm
October 15: Harris Elementary 3:30 - 7 pm
October 22: Rutherfordton Elementary 3:30 - 7 pm
YOUR DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE
$6 a week will cover the cost of 3 office visits at the Community Health Clinic for someone without healthcare.
$10 per week will supply a Life-Line Unit for a homebound individual for a year.
$5 per week will provide a motel room for three days for someone who has lost their home to a fire.
$2.70 per week wil pay for a needy child to attend one week of summer camp at South Mountain Christian Camp.
$4 per week will allow a mentally challenged child to attend one week of summer camp.
